ConsultationThe initial consultation will include a thorough interview of personal and medical history, a complete TCM diagnostic questionnaire, and a physical exam to determine the correct TCM diagnosis that will assist in formulating a specific treatment plan for the individual. This session will take approximately an hour. (Acupuncture treatment not included.) AcupunctureThin sterile disposable needles will be used to activate energy flow in the meridians on the body through specific acupuncture points. Each session will last between 45-60 minutes and includes optional heat therapy. Electro-AcupuncturePulsating electrical current is added to the acupuncture needles to provide stronger stimulation in areas that require faster healing such as muscles, tissues, and joints. MoxibustionMoxibustion is composed of an herb called mugwort to promote blood circulation and warm acupuncture points to accelerate the healing process. Acupuncture is included with this service. CuppingCupping is a technique in which glass cups are heated from the inside
with fire to create a vacuum and then placed on the afflicted area of
the body. The cup's suction pulls at the skin and draws out toxins from
the body. It is used for sore muscles, tension, neck pain and common cold. Acupuncture is included with this service. Tui Na MassageTui Na methods include the use of hand techniques to massage the soft tissue
(muscles and tendons) of the body, acupressure techniques to directly
affect the flow of Qi, and manipulation
techniques to realign the musculoskeletal and ligamentous
relationships (bone-setting). It is used to heal injuries and to relieve muscle pain, tension, and inflammation. Charges vary with length of treatment. Herbal MedicineChinese herbal medicine will only be used in conjunction with acupuncture treatments. Patients will be prescribed high quality herbal formulas made and packaged by a reputable American herbal company. Granules or powders will be used for efficacy and your convenience.
